I finally got a picture of a Bluejay. They are very shy around my house. I can sit out with the camera and the other birds will return after a few minutes but not the Bluejays. I guess the cold and snow made them a little less shy about coming to the feeder with me around.

It’s strange they act this way, I know a lot of people get them to come up and eat out of their hands.

They make a lot of noise when they are in the area so you always know they are there.

I just read that they can imitate the call of the Red shouldered hawk. They must use that to scare predators away from their nest.
